CANCER SUCKS

For those of you who don't know me. My name is Sydney. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, B-Cell CNS3 when I was 22 years old.

I have spent the last 2.5 years going through vigorous treatment, chemotherapy, cranial radiation, operations, days, weeks months at a time in the hospital, spinal taps and ER visits. I have now been diagnosed with AVN from the amount of rigorous treatment I have undergone. I will ring the bell and finish chemotherapy in December 2024 and get both of my hips and shoulders replaced early 2025. I am so grateful to be alive. There is so much to be said on this topic, if I kept going it would take you days to read so I will leave it here.

I was invited to join the group for the 2024 lighthouse for hope cancer patient retreat with 10 other girls aged 18-26 with a blood cancer to go on this healing retreat for healing mental health issues, and friendship in someone who understands. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity. Unfortunately not being able to work due to the treatment and AVN has really been a struggle. I am fundraising to purchase a flight to Vermont for the retreat. I have high hopes that I will benefit from such an amazing opportunity. I struggle often behind closed doors, it would be so nice to get to form relationships with people who truly understand the pain and mentally being a young girl in her 20s with a cancer diagnosis.

If you decide to donate, I want you to know I could never repay my gratitude. Thank you for helping me along my healing journey.

Thank you for your support!

Thank you so much for your support. I couldn’t thank you enough. From the bottom of my heart, it means so much to me and I’m so grateful. Without people like you I couldn’t get through this journey. The amount of weight this takes off of my shoulders is tremendous. Please leave a message with your donation! I look forward to reading them.
